Senior art show!
The senior art show was the other night and was lots of fun. This picture shows most of my display; there were three off to the side that aren’t pictured, but that’s ok, since I think all of them have been posted here anyway. The show was a great success and everybody says it was better than last year’s.
It’s put on by all the seniors taking portfolio, so we’ve all been looking forward to it for about three years. It was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed having all my best pieces on display in one place. Plus, compliments are fun.
There was some really great artwork there. I took pictures of some of it, but the only one I’m posting here is Tara’s amazing self-portrait, at right. If it looks large in the picture, it’s because it is: 8′ x 8′. She’s been working on it at home for months, so we were all really excited to see the finished product. The portrait is made entirely of painted bottle caps mounted on plywood. As I said, it’s amazing–way too cool to not post.
